Flip through with me in my work planner! This is a Foxy Fix Spice Rings planner with 30mm silver rings. I got this a long while ago, hence it has some really noticeable scratches and marks. I hope to give you some planner setup ideas or ideas for planner sections! I use this planner for my work stuff as I am soon launching my IT consulting business.
In this post, I want to share with you my planner setup blueprint. It has taken me some years to perfect my planner system to a point where no matter what planner I use, I know it will work. Right now I use a Gillio Personal Wide in Croco Mat brown but I own a few other brands and sizes like Filofax or KikkiK. If you want to see my collection, I’ve uploaded a video some time ago.
Today I want to share with you what I have inside my planner pouch. I got this bag a few months ago when I was still working in an office and therefore wanted to take all my planner essentials with me. It’s also easy to pack for trips, I don’t have to worry to forget something. Now that I am working from home full time, it’s easy to carry around between my study and my living room or kitchen table.
One main pillar of my planning system is my goals planner. I use an A5 Filofax Domino in Marine blue at the moment. This planner also houses my finance section where I track my budget and spending for my household, personal, and business expenses. My planning process usually starts in this planner, before continuing on in my personal wide planner. As you can see, this planner is more functional and less decorated at the moment but I am sure this will change in time as with all my other planners. About a year ago I caved and purchased my beloved Personal Wide Gillio binder. Some would say it was love at first sight. I used it non-stop since then, although the setup has changed many times. This is one of the features I like with ring-bound planners: they can adapt to what you need right now to organize your life! I use this planner in conjunction with my Pocket XL Compagna, as it weighs a hefty 950g / 2.09 lbs which I don’t want to carry with me all the time. Naturally, it only houses the information I don’t need at any time. Personal Wide is my Goldilocks size: personal was too small and A5 too big. There are also a lot of printable inserts for Personal Wide Rings available on the market which makes customizing my planner to my needs even better! This binder has developed a beautiful patina
I wanted to film this planner flip video for some time now and today I finally got my tripod so I could set my iPhone up to film it! I use this beautiful pocket planner as my everyday carry. Therefore it just needs the things I might need when I am out and about, so it’s pretty minimal. Right now there is not much happening due to the Corona pandemic, but I trust that this will someday end and then this gem of a planner will come in very handy! This particular ring planner was the first Gillio I ever purchased. (Please be warned: once you go down the rabbit hole of buying a Gillio there is no coming back!) I love its shiny texture and the dark blue Croco pattern is very classy and elegant. The pocket-size paper is quite small, 81mm by 120mm (3,18 inches by 4,72 inches).
